Q. How do I borrow an item from another library?

The library will not be sending materials to or receiving materials from other libraries until after May 6th.

You can continue to request articles and ebook chapters through Interlibrary Loan.

If you found the article through the library catalog or one of the library's databases, you will usually see a request button ("Request through ILL"). When you click on that button, you can access the ILL request system immediately. If you are not already logged into your library account, you will need to authenticate with your WID and password. The bibliographic information for the item you need will -- in most cases -- be automatically filled in the request form. All you need to do is to verify that everything was transmitted correctly, add any additional comments that might be helpful, and submit your request.

You can also fill out a request form directly and skip the search if you have the article's citation. To do that, click "ILL" on the library's homepage, log in with your WID and password, and then click "Create Request." Enter as much information as you have about the article, and we'll do the rest. The article will be sent to your Wheaton email.
