Q. How do I record or upload a video to Echo360?

Answer

There are several entry points to start a recording in Echo360.

If you are looking for access to your Echo360 Library, login in at echo360.org with your @wheatoncollege.edu email address and password. Then, follow these steps to record:

  • After you login, at the top of the screen, you'll see a blue Create button, click on it and choose New Capture or Upload.
  • If you choose Upload, you will see options to navigate to your video where it is stored. Select your video and click Upload. Your video will then appear in your library.
  • If you chose New Capture, you'll now be prompted to open (or download if it's your first time) Universal Capture.
  • Open Universal Capture. Click on the Edit Details button on the upper right hand side of the screen to name your video and choose where it should be published. Click save.
  • Choose your video and audio inputs.
  • Click the big round record button.

If you have a teaching role in a course in onCourse and you've already set up connections in your onCourse site to Echo360, follow these steps:

  • From your onCourse site, choose the area where you want your video's link to appear.
  • Click Add an activity or resource.
  • Choose Echo360 Video and Media and click Add.
  • Name your link, then Save and return to course.
  • Click on the link you just created.
  • At the top of the screen, you'll see a blue Create button, click on it and choose New Capture or Upload.
  • If you choose Upload, you will see options to navigate to your video where it is stored. Select your video and click Upload. Your video will then appear in your library.
  • If you chose New Capture, you'll now be prompted to open (or download if it's your first time) Universal Capture.Open Universal Capture. Click on the Edit Details button on the upper right hand side of the screen to name your video and choose where it should be published. Click save.
