How do I find an item Wheaton doesn't own?

Answer

Use the library catalog to find and request items from another library.

Search Options

The default search is the Wheaton College library. You can also search local partner institutions in the HELIN Libraries consortium, or search other library collections at Libraries Worldwide by choosing those options on the initial search page or on the results page.

Request items from HELIN Libraries

You can request items from local HELIN libraries from the item's information page. Click the Request through HELIN button, log in with your Wheaton email address and password, then submit the form. These books often arrive within 1-3 days.

Request items through Interlibrary Loan

You can request books from libraries worldwide from the book's information page. Click the Request Item through Interlibrary Loan (7-14 days) button, log in with your Wheaton email address and password, then submit the form. Items from these libraries can take about 1-2 weeks to arrive.
