How can I access library materials?
Answer
Books
Use the library catalog to discover print and ebooks in our collection.
eBooks can be accessed by clicking on the green button in the book’s information page.
The information pages for print books will tell you if the book is available or if it has been checked out by another user. If the book is available, there are two ways you can access it.
- Use the call number in the book’s information page to locate it on a library shelf.
- Place a hold on the book by clicking the Place Hold button on the book’s information page. Log in with your Wheaton email address and password, then submit the form. A staff member will get the book and put it on the hold shelf in the Atrium on the Main Level. You will get an email when it is ready.
You can check out the book with your Wheaton ID at the Information Desk on the Main Level or using a self checkout kiosk (in the Atrium on the Main Level, on the Periodicals Level at the rear entrance, and on the Stacks Level at the Discovery Center entrance).
Other Library Materials
To borrow other items including course reserves, DVDs, CDs, and equipment, ask at the Information Desk in the Atrium.
